Wilson T. Pollan

Wilson T. Pollan, Partner

Wilson has spent his entire legal career in the representation of clients in domestic and international transactions and serves as outside general counsel to many companies, from start-ups to established corporations, primarily in the energy and natural resources industries.

Wilson has over a decade of experience in the representation of major domestic and international owners, engineers, constructors and service providers in the drafting, review and negotiation of complex commercial contracts (including EPC, EPCM, design/build, licensing, engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, construction and installation, commissioning, etc.) totaling billions of dollars with projects located throughout the United States, Canada, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America and the Middle East. Some recent examples include petrochemical facilities, onshore and offshore oil and/or gas production facilities, renewable fuels facilities, floating production, storage and offloading vessels, intrastate and interstate natural gas pipelines, onshore and offshore liquefied natural gas facilities, mining facilities, wind farms, cryptocurrency mining and data storage facilities, solar fields, electrical substations, crude oil pipelines, natural gas storage facilities, terminals and tanks.

As part of his corporate practice, Wilson has extensive experience in business formation and corporate governance, start-ups, tax structuring, dispute resolution and project close-out, and assists companies throughout the entire project spectrum, commencing at project realization and continuing beyond punch-list completion. Wilson also advises on the selection of appropriate project delivery systems and contractual structures, including the creation and/or revamping of internal contractual procedures and policies.

Wilson grew up in Austin, Texas and received his undergraduate degree (B.A. Sociology) from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado in 2004, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law Houston in Houston, Texas in 2007. While in law school, Wilson was the 1L class representative for the Board of Advocates program, a named member of the Dean’s List, and attended Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic where he studied international commercial transactions and international criminal law. Prior to joining the firm, Wilson studied under the Honorable John S. Anderson in the Fourteenth Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas, and worked for a toxic tort litigation firm and an insurance defense litigation firm.
